CityIntel integrates multi-layered open-source intelligence (OSINT) and verified data channels to maintain an accurate and near-real-time global risk picture. Each event or alert is reviewed, scored, and weighted using proprietary reliability algorithms before being displayed on the dashboard or risk detail views.

Source Categories

Our intelligence platform aggregates data from a combination of the following sources:

• Government & Agency Feeds — ministries, law enforcement, and civil protection bulletins.
• Accredited Media — wire services and verified regional outlets with editorial standards.
• Local Observers — vetted on-the-ground contributors in major urban areas.
• NGOs & Crisis Monitors — non-profit risk networks and humanitarian alert channels.
• Social Verification Streams — curated, cross-checked social signals filtered for credibility.

Reliability Scoring

Each incoming report undergoes automated and manual validation. Our reliability framework uses a weighted scale combining source history, cross-source confirmation, and time proximity.

Reliability Tiers

• Tier 1 — Verified: Multiple confirmed sources or official statements.
• Tier 2 — Corroborated: Two or more reputable confirmations within 12 hours.
• Tier 3 — Preliminary: Early indicators pending confirmation; displayed with caution.

Events shown as “High Risk” generally meet Tier 1 or 2 criteria within the previous 48 hours.

Data Handling & Integrity

Data is refreshed continuously, with timestamped ingestion logs. Expired or rescinded alerts are automatically archived. CityIntel performs daily integrity checks to ensure geolocation accuracy and prevent duplication.
